Our cycle calendar, where we want to show the cycle of the pain of the victim.
To understand better how the cycle runs, we have put some symbols to symbolize when the aggressor uses, during the cycle, verbal abuse or physical abuse.
The crosses and the words symbolize the censorship of the aggressor and the minimisation and verbal threats towards the victim.
The red bleeding heart means the first action of the aggressor. It’s on the first day of the calendar because it’s the beginning of the end.
The red hands and the blood shows the explosion in the cycle where the man hits, chokes, struggles and grabs the victim, committing physical and sexual abuse.
Finally, the heart rate means the last explosion, the end of the cycle, the last Saturday.
With this, we wanted to show a month of relationship where gender violence is visible. Where what is killed is not the time, what is finally KILLED is HER.
The main colours aret he black and red. On one hand we have the black, which represents the oscurity and the sadness, the end of something beautiful. The red represents the violence and the blood, but as a double sense, the red also representates the love between each other.
In the background we have chosen tear drops to represent the tears of the victim and, as time passes by, more tear drops appear, and as the cicle calendar has ended, the background is full of tears.
